19th Century Victorian Scottish Agate Brooch, Kite Mark, Lapel Size

This is a small Victorian Scottish brooch, in the highlands style, with coloured agates and a central orange paste stone. A little brooch suitable for a lapel or some of the lighter fabrics, with jasper and bloodstone decoration. To the reverse is a Registered design kitemark which gives the design date as September 1877, (this is the date the design was registered, not the date the brooch was made). As almost normal with Scottish jewellery of this date and period there is no hallmark or assay stamp to the brooch. All is good but needs further cleaning.
