Barograph – Large Pattern Negretti & Zambra, London c.1900

This is a rare, large pattern imposing barograph by renowned makers, Negretti & Zambra of London. Probable from a club or public school. An impressive set of ten diaphragms operates the movement & records on to a 5” deep chart enabling even the smaller changes in pressure to be identified. A mercury filled thermometer is fitted to the lacquered brass base. The rich oak glass case has a hinged lid & a chart drawer to the base. A years' supply of weekly charts supplied together with a fresh bottle of recording ink and a reprinted copy of instruction pamphlet by Negretti & Zambra explaining how to interpret pressure trends.
