Cast Silver Novelty Pepperpot - 1926

This is a beautifully modelled cast silver pepperpot in the form of a wren bird. It is clearly hallmarked for Sheffield 1926 with the makers's initials RHH. The pepperpot is in very good condition with no repair but the claw feet are a little uneven. Being cast silver it is quite heavy but it is the extraordinary detailing that is significant. The pull off lid fits securely and the lid itself is also clearly hallmarked. Overall a quite striking piece of silverwork.
