This is a good early 19th century figure of a deity in original polychrome and gilded finish dating from around 1820.
The figure is depicted enthroned with a high-tiered crown wearing robes richly ornamented and hand painted in red, gold and black. In his hand he holds ritual attributes including a Ruyi sceptre which symbolises power authority and good fortune. This throne is raised on a square plinth base fine gilded cabling ornamentation.
This is in very good original condition with a really great colour and antique charm.
