Large Caughley Porcelain Mug Pine Cone / Rose Centred Spray Pattern c.1780

A fine Caughley porcelain beer mug printed with their version of Worcester's pine cone pattern to one side and their Rose Centred Spray on the other with a detailed floral band down the handle and further smaller fruit and flowers sprigs. It is quite a busy arrangement but very crisp detail on the main prints and a lovely dark indigo tone makes it an attractive example.  Unusually marked with an open crescent to the base (distinct from the hatched crescent found on Worcester printed wares).
