Original Etching 'events in the Day of a Typists Life' by Raymond Fawcett (1934-1994). Signed, Framed & Dated 6.2.64

Great quality surreal etching by Ray Fawcett and I have absolutely no idea what's going on here, but a fascinating image. The work is not part of a numbered edition and I would suggest that it is a unique example. The work is in good condition apart from some small foxing marks which are visible in the images. These can be simply removed if required. Ray Fawcett was a painter and printmaker. He was born in Leeds and studied art at the Royal College of Art in London 1956-59. Fawcett showed a number of still life paintings at the Royal Academy from 1957-59 and he later exhibited eight silkscreens at the Ra from 1970-78. He also exhibited with Drian Galleries 1960, Curwen Gallery 1970, William Weston Gallery 1972 and elsewhere. He lived in west London and taught art at Camberwell, Hornsey and Hammersmith. He was an early exponent of Pop Art and his Screen prints show a fine understanding of line and form with strong primary colours. Provenance; Purchased directly from the artist’s family.
