Pocket Watch: Antique 1920s Lonville Pocket Watch

The watch has a Swiss seven jewel stem-winding movement which is working nicely. The movement has been identified as lonville. Lonville was part of the Langendorf Watch Company, a well respected Swiss watch making company and they traded for exactly 100 years from 1873 and the name has recently been revived. They used several brand names including Lanco, Larex and Lancyl. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover. The watch measures 50.6mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is gold plated and was made by the Star watch case company, Luddington, U.S.A.The case has a coin edge and an engine turned back with a vacant cartouche. The case is in nice condition. The acrylic lens is in nice condition . The white enamel dial is in nice condition with only a tiny surface mark to the number 11. The watch has its original blued steel hands. The watch comes in a new presentation box.
