This delightful cruet and silver plate stand was presented by Captain R.F.W. Hill to 'Col' SergT Aggett, in recognition of the contribution made by him to "Ecoy" 4th Devon Regiment (Militia) between 1906 & 1908
Whilst there is one missing bottle, overall there is very little damage and it remains it is in startlingly good condition. The condition is also a testament to the work of George Travis & Co, active at Clarence Works 69 Charles St. Sheffield (1864-1867) and at 13 Bath St. (1867-1908). The company then converted to Travis Wilson & Co Ltd (1908-1967) about the time this item was produced.
