Offered for sale is a small Royal Doulton Sairey Gamp character jug designed by Leslie Harradine and Harry Fenton, for the Charles Dickens' Characters series issued between 1939 and 1960.
Sairey Gamp was a character from Charles Dickens' 1843 novel, "Martin Chuzzlewit" the character is portrayed as a gossiping, gin-drinking midwife and Nurse.
