Description
A very crisp and expertly made antique silver and glass travelling inkwell. Made in London in 1854 by an unrecorded maker "JH". The silver is beautifully engine turned and has a ducal cornet with initials in the cartouch. There are a full set of hallmarks on the lid with each extra piece having part marks. The inkwell is in excellent condition with no damage or repairs. The seal on the lid is good and tight. A very collectable and useable piece of Victorian silver.
