Victorian Rolled Gold Celtic Knot Bangle in Original Case

This is a rare and very unusual Victorian rolled gold Celtic bangle in original bangle case. The bangle is oval in shape and the core is a steel spring with, either side, 16 graduated rolled gold round beads or balls threaded to it, except for the last one either side, all the beads rotate (you can play with it). The central part is a rolled gold Celtic Knot which is fixed, there is a little bit of wear to the rolled gold but it is in remarkably good condition. The bangle was supplied by G.F. Greiner of 63 Nicolson Street, Edinburgh. some time in the mid to late 1800s, the case is in good condition with no structural damage but wear to the outside corners and edges. Sizes given are external, these below are internal. As it is it will fit comfortably on a wrist 5.5 x 4.5 cm, it will expand and I would think that it would go up to around 6.5 x 5.0 cm. But. it is a steel spring, it is antique and at the very least 140 years old and probably older do not drag it open, slide it as much as possible onto the wrist. May not be suitable for a young girl as the 5.5 x 4.5 is the minimal size so that it can grip, on a smaller wrist it will be upside down.
