The Recta Watch Company was originally founded in Bienne), Switzerland in 1897. The company was originally called Muller & Vaucher Fabrique d’Horlogerie. The name Recta was registered in 1898. The company became famous for high quality precision pocket watches and chronometers. In 1917, the company name was changed again to Recta Sa Fabrique d’Horlogerie in 1917.
