Description

This is a very well made sterling silver sovereign case produced by J & W Deakin and hallmarked in Chester 1913

There are four compartments two of which were to hold full sovreigns, one for half sovreigns and the final one for stamps. All four are sprung loaded and the springs work perfectly. Hallmarks are clearly struck to the outer case and the individual compartments. The interior retains its original gilding, there are no repairs to the silver but some minor usage dings to the outer case. There is a loop for attachment to a chain.

The case has been made with a good gauge of silver and closes fully on a catch.
