This is a fine Georgian sterling silver Muffineer or small caster made by John Delmestre and hallmarked in London 1769. It is made with a heavy gauge of silver and is in very good condition. Hallmarks are clearly struck and the pull off top fits tightly and is finished with an urn finial. It stands firmly on a raised circular base.
A good quality muffineer from this specialist Georgian silversmith.
