Description

This is a fine Georgian sterling silver mustard pot made by James Darquits and hallmarked in London 1793. The spoon is also Georgian silver made by Thomas Dicks and hallmarked in London 1813.

The mustard pot has the original blue glass liner which has a cutout to match that on the lid to take the spoon. The handle and thumb piece are securely fixed and hallmarks are clearly struck. All 3 pieces are in very good condition.

The mustard is made with a good gauge of silver and the body has reeded decoration to the upper and lower rims. The spoon is initialled but not the mustard pot. Overall a very good quality Georgian silver mustard pot and spoon.
