Victorian Stripped Pine Chest of Drawers with Shaped Upstand

A really nice 2 over 2 Chest of Drawers with a curvy upstand, wooden knobs and Tulip feet; it offers plenty of storage space besides looking nostalgic and decorative. Professionally refurbished to a high standard the chest has been stripped, beeswaxed and polished to a lovely reflective sheen and now has a deep natural honey colour. The insides of the drawers are clean and wear and tear on their undersides has been attended to; new drawer stops ensure the drawers glide effortlessly in and out There are some signs of historical surface worm on the lower edge of the upstand, however, after being immersed in caustic soda during the stripping process, it is rendered inactive. Please Note – the stated height of the chest (106cm) is to the top of the upstand, and the height of the chest to the flat top surface is 87cm.
