OUR LATEST ACQUISITION:-
STUNNING SMALL MINIATURE? 20thc ANTIQUE LANDSCAPE & SHEEP OIL ON PANEL PAINTING
A truly stunning, Original mid 20th Century Small or Miniature Oil Painting Depicting a tranquil Country Landscape scene with an ancient Church ruin and two Sheep grazing within a red lit summer sky.
Signed lower left corner.
The impressive painting portrays this marvellous scene to an almost photographic quality!
The attention to detail is possibly one of the finest we have seen in such a small painting.
The depiction of the Sky, Tress, Ancient Ruin, Grass and Sheep are all magnificent!
When we purchased this painting into stock some several months ago, we were told the artists name but we have unfortunately since forgotten what we were originally told.
She is/was apparently a very highly regarded artist in this particular subject matter.
As stated above, the work is signed butt sadly my old eyes can not quite make out the name of the artist, so we are therefore selling the work as 'Signed, but Indistinctly'

A Charming little Painting. Original throughout.
Artsonline was founded by Aaron Selby, who began life in the world of Fine Art & Antiques over 25 years ago as an avid collector of Original Paintings and Period Furniture. Back then, his collection and passion grew so large, that he eventually had to sell one piece to replace it for another, as he just did not have enough room in the house to continue amassing his collection further.
Aaron soon realised that his love and passion of all things Art & Antiques was never going to go away, and so, forward 20 years on, and Aaron now operates a quality globally recognised on-line Fine Art & Antique shop, specialising in the sale of original and authentic works of Fine Art and Antique furniture Pieces.
Artsonline sell only original, genuine pieces unless it is otherwise stated in the advert listing as a reproduction!

Our Fine Art Listing Terminology & Qualifiers
When a listing's heading reads ''by'' and is followed by the artist's full name (or the artist's initials, if his full name is unrecorded), the work is in our opinion by the artist.
When the term ''signed by'' is used, in our opinion the work has been signed by the artist.
When the expression "attributed to" is used, the work is in our opinion possibly a work by the artist, in whole or in part.
When the expression ''circle of'' is used, the work is in our opinion a work of the period of the artist and showing his influence.
When the expression ''follower of'' is used, the work is in our opinion a work executed in the artist's style but not necessarily by a pupil.
When the expression ''manner of'' is used, the work is in our opinion a work executed in the artist's style but of a later date.
When the term "after" is used, the work is in our opinion a copy or imitation (of any date) of a work by the artist.
When the term ''bears signature'' is used in our opinion the signature is by a hand other than that of the artist.
Thank you for looking, we hope to see you again soon.
