This lovely antique chest of drawers dates from the 19th Century. It is constructed from mahogany, some solid, some veneered over solid wood, and it retains a nice rich colour. The chest has satinwood string inlay around the top and the base, and the top is cross-banded. It consists of two small drawers over three long drawers that are graduated in size. The drawers have brass handles that are possibly replacements and nice shield escutcheons. It is supported on lovely elegant swept feet at the front and tall bracket feet at the back.
