Description

Declaration

Slade's Antiques has clarified that the William Robertson, the History of Scotland, 2 Vols. 4th Ed. 1761 - *Need Repair* (18316 / LA150379) is genuinely of the period declared with the date/period of manufacture being 1761.

Condition

In poor condition. Please note that volume one is missing its rear board and the front board is present but detached. Volume two is missing both its front and rear boards. In need of rebinding. The pages have some tanning and wear and the first and last few pages of the books have some tearing and loss to the page edges. The rear end papers of volume two are missing and the last few pages are loose. Both volumes are split in two at the spine in places and have weak hinges. The front board of volume one bears the bookplate for Sir George Bromley.
