Description
This is a fine bow porcelain figure of Winter from the series The Seated Rustic Seasons, set on a raised scrolled base, c.1765. He sits on a log warming his hands over a brazier, hunched over in his cloak with berried sprigs set around the base. Decorated in bright enamels and gilding with a small anchor and dagger mark to one side of the back of the base.
