Description
Late Victorian sterling silver chatelaine spectacle holder, with a pierced belt loop panel of a tavern scene, a scrolled design to the front of the holder with a vacant cartouche, and a velvet lined interior.
Hallmarks are clear and consist of the lion passant mark for sterling silver, anchor mark for Birmingham, and Birmingham date letter z for 1899. The makers mark is partly worn, but likely to be L & S for Levi & Salaman.

It measures 11" or 283mm long from top to bottom, with a holder measuring 161mm long by 36mm wide by 19mm thick, and a 60mm long belt loop. The silver weight is unavailable, but has a total item weight of 74g.
