Description
Victorian brass postal scales, with mahogany mounted base on four bun feet, brass balance with postal rates, with makers mark S T S, as yet unidentified, and a set of 6 brass weights: ¼oz; ½oz, 1oz; 2oz; 4oz; & 8oz. Postal rates on the weighing pan date these scale to between 1871-1897.

It measures 10¼" x 6" x 5¼" or 262mm wide by 156mm deep by 135mm high to balance centre pivot, and has a total item weight of 1431g.
