Benjamin Smith - Maker

Father & Son, Benjamin Smith II and Benjamin Smith III were both leading silversmiths in England during the Georgian Era. The elder Smith began working in the silver trade in 1790 under recommendation from Matthew Boulton and soon earned an enviable reputation for his work. He died in 1823. Like Paul Storr, Benjamin Smith II’s firm was producing high quality silver for Rundle & Bridge. Smith was joined in the family business by his eldest son Benjamin Smith III from 1812 who continued to produced quality silver items until his death in 1850. At LoveAntiques we have fine antique silver from both Benjamin Smiths, all being offered by trusted and knowledgeable sellers across the UK.
