Description

This George II antique sterling silver sugar bowl and cover was made by Richard Burcombe and hallmarked in London 1733. It is in very good condition with no repair or damage. Hallmarks are clearly struck to both bowl and cover. The bowl stands firmly on a raised circular base as does the cover which was also used as a spoon or cup holder.

Made with a heavy gauge of silver and of plain design with no decoration. Altogether a fine Georgian silver piece (NB any shadows shown in photographs are merely reflections).
