Antique Georgian Silver Coffee Pot - Emes 1801
Ref: 1755 / LA79088
This is a fine and very imposing antique sterling silver coffee pot made by John Emes and hallmarked in London 1801. A very attractive piece it has been made with a good gauge of silver and stands firmly on a raised oval base. Hallmarks are clearly struck to the body and lid which closes perfectly. There is no damage just one very minor repair to the lower banded decoration behind the spout.
There are ornate vacant cartouches to both sides and a striking Ivory handle and matching finial.
A fine coffee pot from this well respected Georgian silversmith (NB any shadows shown in photographs are merely reflections).
