Elegant George V Pierced Silver Butter Dish by Pearce & Sons, London 1913
This is a beautiful circular pierced dish made in London 1913. It is fitted with the original amethyst glass liner, a much rarer and desirable colour. The body, pierced with vertical slats, is flanked by pierced lug handles. It is raised on four fleur de lys feet.
Star-cut amethyst glass liner.
Sold with a solid silver butter knife by James Dixon & Sons, Sheffield 1937.
