A nice little chest that has recently been stripped and beeswaxed, leaving it a lovely honey colour. It has rounded front corners which are echoed by the mouldings around the top and base; the small upstand that runs along the back (3cm high) also has rounded corners. The chest has two short and two long drawers which have pine bottoms (no ply) and the drawers slide effortlessly in and out. It’s raised on neat tulip shaped turned feet and has its original wooden knobs. There is evidence of a small amount of shrinkage in the grain on both outer sides of the chest (probably due to central heating) and there is a small (1cm) indentation on the top along the front edge (see detailed picture) and the same on the bottom drawer front, but other than that there is no damage, although there is some uneven colour on the sides. FREE DELIVERY to most areas (see below) Some colours may be viewed slightly different according to the set-up of your display. Every effort is made to portray the item as it actually is through detailed images and text description, if there is anything you are unsure of, or need clarifying please message me.
