Sold by Molly and Maud’s Place are this pair of perfect matching lamps, these unusual pieces have actually been converted from original Victorian iron dogs and are a solid, substantial piece to add to your side tables. The elegant, simplistic shades highlight the unique and unusual lamp stands and would look striking set on side tables either side of the bed or a sofa, mimicking the symmetry of the furniture.

The stands are in fact iron and they were made in England. The lamps stand at 68cm and 35cm and are an example of antique lights unique charm and subtle finesse. The purpose of the firedogs would have been to rest logs upon in an open fireplace to improve the circulation of air for a better fire. These antique lamps are an example of antiques being transformed from their original purpose, highlighting how environmentally friendly antique furniture can be, whilst being exceptionally attractive at the same time.
